I need a black on/off 12 volt push button switch for a wall light, which one do you recommend ?

A black push button switch that'll work for your light is part # DG52452VP. We actually just tested this to make sure it'll work the way you need it to.
The switch you looked at, part # DG52451VP, is a black push button but cannot be used as a light switch because it's a momentary switch. Meaning it automatically resets itself and would immediately turn the light right back off.
