Question:
I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500HD crew cab diesel and a 2014 Keystone raptor 31DS toyhauler travel trailer. Dry hitch weight of 1225 and dry weight of 8850 with 4150 carrying capacity. I’m deciding between the 2000 lb or the HD 3000lb model. Which one would your recommend for my application? I also use a equalizer 14K hitch. Thanks

Expert Reply:
The 2,000 pound standard RAS for your 2017 Silverado 2500, part # RAS3611, is going to be enough to help you tow your 13,000 pound Keystone. If you're only towing the trailer a few times a year this is the route I would go. If you're towing a lot more often then that the HD system, part # RAS3611-HD, is the way to go.
