Question:
Hello, I have a 2000 Toyota 4Runner 4x4 with a factory tow hitch. It’s sticks down very low. I don’t tow much with it so towing capacity is not a concern. I do not want to modify the frame or drill any holes. Which hitch gives the most ground clearance and sticks past the rear bumper the least?

Curt trailer hitch # 13157 is going to be the best bet for your 2000 Toyota 4Runner. Once installed the receiver will sit directly below the rear fascia on the vehicle. The receiver does stick out a little from the bumper and in that regard the available hitches are all about the same. Compare that to the position of your existing hitch to determine if it is better/worse as far as positioning. There is no drilling required to install hitch 13157.
