Comparing Roadmaster Base Plates for 2017 Ford Expedition

Hi, I have a Roadmaster Falcon attached to my RV. I bought a base plate from etrailer for my Jeep Patriot in 2013. Now, I need a base plate for a 2017 Ford Expedition. Beside the price, can you tell me the difference or advantage between the two base plates? 4410-3 4410-1

The two base plate kits you mentioned are a fit for your 2017 Ford Expedition. The big difference is that with the MX kit part # 4410-3 that you mentioned you don't have to use the included crossbar that came with your Falcon # RM-520 as the arms of the base plate attach directly to the tow bar. With the XL kit part # 4410-1 you would have to use the crossbar.
The advantage to the XL style that uses the crossbar is that if you use any type of rock guard on your tow bar the XL will work whereas the MX kit does not work with any rock guards.
