Do you advise using Loctite or a similar product when assembling this bike rack?

If it were me I probably would not use Loctite when assembling Curt 4 Bike Platform Rack # C18087 simply because it isn't needed. However if you want to err on the side of caution and chose to use Loctite I recommend using blue Loctite # LT37643. The blue Loctite is the less severe duty formula meaning you will still be able to take the rack apart with regular hand tools. Other formulas are much stronger and would require power or even pneumatic tools in some cases.
