Determining if Solera Slide-Topper Can be Installed on Slide-Out with Electric Awning

Tipout slide cover for grand design 5th wheel that has awning attached to front of tip out Do I need different mounting brackets in order for tip out cover to be mounted?

It sounds like you are asking if a Solera Slide-Topper like the 12.5' # LCV000177334 that you were looking at can be installed on your Grand Design trailer that features an electric awning already in place. Just let me know if that is not the case.

There are a few possible styles and mounting positions of electric awnings that are used on slide-outs so it will really just be a matter of comparing where your awning is attached to the mounting location of our Slide-Toppers. I have attached an image of a Slide-Topper installed (along with a complete installation video) so you can see exactly where it will take up space on the trailer. If you can send me a picture of your current setup I will also be happy to take a look to see if you will be able to add a Slide-Topper.

As long as the two components won't physically interfere, you shouldn't need to add separate mounting brackets from what is included with the Topper. The needed awning rail is included.

The Solera 12.5' unit that you are looking at is designed for box widths of 140 inches to 145-3/4 inches. The box width is measured on the outside front of the box, including flange.
