Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2007 Jeep Liberty Sport

Question:

I have a 2007 Jeep Liberty , I believe the sport version. It has the factory installed hitch. But I’m not sure about the factory 7-Way Trailer Wiring. I’ve found a harness under bumper, but it only has two wires red and black would this be where I plug in trailer harness?

For your 2007 Jeep Liberty, the wiring harness you have found in the photo is not the correct harness for your trailer wiring. The Multi-Plug T-One Connector Assembly for 7-Way & 4 Pole Trailer Connector # 20135 is the correct fit for your factory wiring if you have a factory tow package and has a rectangular shaped harness that it connects to with flat pin connections.

Even without the factory 7-way the connectors will still be rectangular and have flat pin compatibility like # 118524. I've attached a video to assist. I am not sure what harness you have found, but with only two wires, it most likely has only a power and ground. It could be for a light, a fluid pump, a defroster, etc.
