Question:

Is part number C131114 only rated for 5000/500 lbs? BMW states their 2010 X6 has a 6000/600 lbs. I checked with Curt and the Trailer Hitch # C13114 you asked about does have a 6,000 lb towing capacity and 600 lb tongue weight capacity. This hitch is a fit for your 2010 BMW X6 and is a complete bolt-on installation so no drilling into your BMW's frame is required.

For wiring which will give you a 4-way connector and allow you to power your trailer's lights you need Wiring Harness # 119250KIT. I also recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which is for 2” hitches and may fulfill your towing needs in one tidy package; two ball mounts - one with a 3/4” rise or 2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise or 4” drop - a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip.
