Troubleshooting BrakeRite Not Working with 2018 Chevy Silverado with OEM Brake Controller

Question:
i recently installed electric over hydraulic disc brakes using a Brakerite actuator on a triple axle fifthwheel trailer. I am towing with a 2018 Chevy 1Ton Dually When applying brake petal pressure the Brakerite actuator does not react. If I squeeze the manual slider three-four times there is intermittent braking reaction. When we hooked my buddies 2012 Dodge up to the trailer everything seemed to work fine. Any ideas on what my problem might be?

It sounds like you are trying to use the factory brake controller in your 2018 Chevy Silverado with the BrakeRite electric-over-hydraulic actuator.
If this is the case then what you need is an adapter that allows your OEM controller to communicate properly with the actuator. If you have the BrakeRite EHB # T4822500 for drum brakes or the discontinued BrakeRite II Severe-Duty # T4835700 then you need the adapter # DX35FR.
If you have the Titan BrakeRite I Plug and Play Electric-Hydraulic Actuator Kit # T4813102 then you would need the adapter # T4845900 instead.
The adapter will allow your OEM controller to continuously communicate with the BrakeRite actuator that you installed on your 5th wheel trailer. If you don't have an OEM controller that you are using let me know and I can help you troubleshoot further.
