Can Silicone Spray be Used on an ACME Nut
Published 09/14/2018 >
Question:
One of my propane tanks leaks at the connection to the hose. I swapped out tanks, and the tanks are fine, the problem is at the ACME nut. The trailer is less than 2 years old. Is it a good idea to lube that nut with silicone spray or something else to get good seal?

It is not recommend to use any sort of silicone spray or thread sealer on an ACME nut. This could actually cause an even larger leak to occur therefore your best option would be replacement for which I recommend the Camco Propane Supply Hose part # CAM59053.
