How to Help Secure the Demco Base Plate Pull Ear Covers Part # DM5899
Published 09/14/2018 >
Question:
I purchased the Demco base tow plate and it came with these covers. On my first trip down the highway, I lost one of them and have had to order two from you. Do you know how I can modify this part to keep it from blowing away again?

It looks as if you were to drill holes into the tabs on the Demco Base Plate Pull Ear Covers part # DM5899 that you could then align them with the holes on the Demco Base Plate Kit. A bolt with nut or pin with clip could then be used to make sure the covers do not fall off. If this is not something you feel comfortable doing then zip ties would be the next best option though they also would not look the best either.
