The online owner's manual for the 2014 Chevy Cruise notes that the version with automatic transmission cannot be flat towed with all wheels down but the manual transmission model can be flat towed from the front up to 65-mph. Page 10-86 of the manual details the preparation steps to be followed, which include pulling 4 specific fuses (fuses 22, 23, 24 and 25 in the instrument panel fuse block) to prevent battery drainage. No mention is made to the diesel engine option affecting the vehicle's ability to be towed, just the transmission.

Flat towing a car behind your motorhome will require a few components. These include a tow bar, safety cables, a wiring/lighting kit, a braking system and base plates on the towed car and often a high/low hitch adapter to keep the tow bar level. The linked article on flat towing gives you plenty of info on each of these items. I also included additional articles that are specific to some of these required items.

For a base plate for your diesel ECO version you can use Roadmaster EZ2 kit # 523170-1 which has removable arms. For a compatible Roadmaster tow bar I suggest their Falcon 2 # RM-520 along with coiled safety cables # RM-643. For a wiring kit you can use Roadmaster diode kit # RM-15267. A fuse bypass # RM76512 can also be used if you like to save you from having to pull fuses each time you tow.

For a braking system you have choices for either products with a one-time installation as with the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251 or for a portable system like the Patriot # BLU37TR that does not require any permanent modifications to the car and which you can continue to use in the future in your next towed car. The article included for you will help you decide which way you prefer to go.

The article on high/low adapters will show you how to choose the correct one to keep your tow bar level so that you avoid any issue with the arms binding.
