Does Thumb Turn Cam Latch Cylinder 295-000014 Have a Detent or Spin Freely

Question:
Need to get a replacement 1 3/4 thumb latch. The old one 1/4 turns before it is stopped, it does not just free spin. Do these latches have the detents to keep the thumb turn from spinning 360? Does the thumb latch free spin or does it have stops built in?

Replacement Thumb Turn Cam Latch Cylinder # 295-000014 does have a detent so that it will rotate 1/4 turn. I checked this myself in our warehouse.
