Question:
Can you tell me specially where I can find the trailer brake wiring under the dash of a2009 Porsche Cayenne. I have spent several hours looking under the dash and have not found it. I have the factory installed towing package. Is it possible that they did not install the harness under the dash? Thanks

I am including a link to a technical bulletin from Tekonsha that shows how to install a brake controller on your 2009 Porsche Cayenne. It says 2005 to 2008 Porsche Cayenne on the technical bulletin, but I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha and he said the technical bulletin is good up to 2011 models.
The technical bulletin will show you where the connector is located under the dash. You will need to purchase the connector housing and the wire/terminal assembly from the Porsche dealer to assemble your brake control harness.
You first have to remove the lower appearance panel. This will require removing 2 Torx head screws. The brake control connector will be to the left of the opening and wrapped in Gray foam. The technical bulletin will show you where the connector is located under the dash.
If you are installing a Tekonsha Prodigy or P3 brake controller on your Cayenne you will not install the red wire from the brake controller to the factory brake controller connector. You will need to purchase a 12 volt normally open relay to install between the red brake wire on the brake controller and a 12 volt power source.
If the factory brake controller connector is not there, I would recommend to check with the Porsche dealer.
