Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2004 Nissan Frontier
Published 08/23/2018 >
Question:
I have a 2004 Nissan Frontier 4x4. Before ordering the hitch in the subject line, I crawled under the truck to see if my frame has three holes like the ones in the video. It does not- it only has two per side. Is there another hitch designed specifically for my frame?

I do have an option for you, however the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75282 referenced in your question is actually not a fit for your 2004 Nissan Frontier. This particular hitch is designed for the Frontier starting with the 2005 model year.
For your 2004 Frontier, I instead recommend the Draw-Tite Class III # 75186. You can take a look at the attached installation instructions for clarification on how the hitch mounts to the frame. As you can see, there are different instructions depending on if you have the long or short bed model.
This Class III hitch features a 4,000 pound towing capacity and a 400 pound tongue weight rating. All the needed hardware is included.
