Troubleshooting MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent Powered Lift Not Working in Auto Mode

Question:

Everything is fine whit my Maxxfan Deluxe 7500K except the auto-lift lid. When I start the fan the vent lid dont work on automatic mode, only on manual mode. Maybe its the pc card, maybe not. Do you have suggestions ? And if its the pc card, where can I find it ?

I spoke with my contact at MaxxAir regarding the issue you are having with your Deluxe Roof Vent # MA00-07500K. He said the dome not automatically lifting when starting the fan might be related to the temperature you have the unit set at for "auto" mode. If the temperature inside the trailer/RV is below the set temperature on the fan, the dome will not automatically lift when starting the unit. This is normal operation.

What you can try to do is adjust the set temperature on the unit to a higher number (one that you know is warmer than the inside temp of your RV). Then try starting the fan up again to see if the dome lifts automatically.

If this does not work please let me know and I will be happy to look into this further.

I am having the same issue. The temp setting does not fix this. Any other recommendations?

It's possible that the internal thermostat is having some issues. You can try resetting the unit (disconnecting from power for a bit then re-connecting) to see if this helps. You can also bypass the auto mode by pressing down on the on/off button.

@ChrisR Try pressing the power button on the unit, not the remote. Green light off, not in AUTO mode. 1. On the unit if the lid is still open, press the + and - buttons simultaneously. The lid should close. Press the AUTO button and the lid should remain closed and the green lamp is on. Set your set point with up down arrows or with the remote. 2. On the unit if the lid is closed, press + and - simultaneously and the lid should open, green light off. Repeat and the lid should close. press AUTO button and set your point again for activation. Without a remote, on the unit the default temp is 78. With the green light lit, press the up arrow to increase in one unit steps up to a maximum of 99. Good luck. This helped me with resetting the 7500 brain. Randy
