What is the Rise of Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount # AMSC10

Updated 08/20/2018 | Published 08/17/2018

Question:

On the page describing this ball mount, in some spots it is described as having an 8 3/4inch rise, in some others spots it says that it has a 9inch rise. A 9inch rise is what I need. What would I get if I ordered the AMSC 10? Thanks for your help!

Helpful Expert Reply:

Because there isn't an 8-3/4 inch rise category for ball mounts the Convert-A-Ball mount # AMSC10 is lumped into the 9 inch rise category. The actual rise is 8-3/4 inches. In the grand scheme of things that 1/4 inch difference isn't going to cause you any problems and the trailer will be more level than most other setups I have seen.

If exactly 9 inches is required your best option is adjustable ball mount # FA42-00-2800 which has a maximum rise of 9 inches. I have linked a video review of this ball mount for you.
