Recommended Landing Gear Set for a 2011 Keystone RV Cougar Fifth Wheel Series M-244 RLS

Question:

I have a 2011 Cougar 244rls and I just wanted to clarify what set of landing gear/legs I need before I place an order. The hitch weight is only about 1300lbs and the overall dry weight is 7000lbs, I think. So Im thinking something relatively light will do the trick. Also, would there be any benefit to installing a beefier set? Would they have better longevity?

The correct landing gear set for your 2011 Keystone RV Cougar Fifth Wheel Series M-244 RLS should be the Lippert Electric Landing Gear Set part # LC333964. In order to make sure you will want to take a quick measurements from the outside edge of each weld stop which should be right at 17-1/2". This set is electric but also comes with a manual crank handle. It has a 6,000 lbs weight capacity which will be plenty for you trailer. As you suspected, the higher weight capacity will lead to increased longevity.
