How To Pick The Correct Rise/Drop Ball Mount for a 2006 Ford Explorer
Question:
What is the correct draw bar for my 2006 Explorer with 18inch tires. The top of the receiver is 22inch to the ground. I tow a boat trailer with 12inch tires. Will the 6inch be enough? Thank You!

I attached an FAQ article on how to pick out the correct ball mount for your application for you to check out. Basically you will take your trailer on a level surface and measure from the distance from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler.
Next, you will compute the difference between the hitch height and the trailer coupler height. Whatever the difference is will be the drop that you will need in a ball mount.
So if your hitch is 6 inches taller than the bottom of your coupler the Class II Drawbar # BM96 with a 6 inch drop would be the correct ball mount for you.
