Question:
I have a 2017 hyundai Tucson I installed the harness it worked great for about 2-3 months then I noticed my driver side mirror light was staying on even when the car was off. I pulled the.fuse for the harness from battery and the light went out. Next time I needed the trailer hook up I put a fuse back in and nothing works

What you described sounds exactly like the converter box of the Curt trailer wiring harness part # C56348 being shorted out. The boxes of these harnesses are designed to basically sacrifice themselves in the event of a short so that it prevents the short from making it to the vehicle's wiring. So the good news is the box did it's job, but the bad news is you have to replace the trailer wiring harness. The kit we offer for your 2017 Tucson that is the most resistant to shorting out is the # 118501 which would be a great choice.
You will need to go over your trailer wiring to see if you can find any obvious shorts like exposed wire and/or corrosion and fix as needed.
