Question:
If I’m willing to spend money on a custom solution is there anyway you can make a hitch work with a center exit exhaust and acidic I’m about to purchase a type R

The only possible way to affix a trailer hitch to your 2017 Honda Civic Type R would be with custom fabrication as you mentioned. You could use the base and mounting flange of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11463 and modify the receiver tube to hang down below the center mounted exhaust tips but this would obviously void the warranty. The only way I can see possible to mount the hitch would be to position the receiver tube under the exhaust tips as I mentioned but you have to consider your limited ground clearance when doing so. If you can tell me what you need the trailer hitch for I would be happy to inform you of your other options if available.
