When installing the sensor module on the water heater case do you have to cut the Styrofoam case to install the module directly to the water heater metal liner?

Yes; when installing the Camco Propane to Electricity Converter for 6-Gallon RV Water Heaters # CAM11673 you are going to need to cut the styrofoam so you will be able to install the module to the water heater.
