Question:
Hello, I am a mom looking to have the Hollywood Sport Rider 4 bike-bike rack put on my 2018 Kia Niro so that we can tow our 4 bikes and go cycling. This is a platform bike rack. I have been told that I need a 2 inch receiver for the hitch. Curb side weight of vehicle is 3200 lbs. My mechanic said he would install the hitch, if I get the mechanism from Kia. I called Kia. They do not sell these and so I have to look for an aftermarket one and all I am finding on your website is 1 and 1/4 sizes. I called U-haul and they said they would order and install a 1 and 1/4 size hitch $125 and I could go to Walmat and get an adapter $45 to make it a 2 inch receiver. I called RacK Attack and they said they could order me a 2 inch hitch and install it for $400. My question to you is, where can I buy an aftermarket 2 inch hitch for a 2018 Kia Niro Hybrid EX? Thanks,

Sounds like you are getting a lot of conflicting info on fitting a 4-bike hitch rack to your 2018 Kia Niro. I can help you accomplish carrying a 4-bike rack with your vehicle but we do not offer a 2 inch hitch for your vehicle. Reason being that 2 inch hitches are only used typically on larger vehicles with heavier capacities.
But since the Curt hitch for your vehicle part # C13329 is a Class II it can allow you to carry a 4 bike rack. Only issue is that none of the Class II 4-bike racks out there are platform style since that style of rack is much heavier and longer.
We have a Hollywood Racks hanging bike rack that can carry up to 4 bikes and fits the Class II hitches. For that we have the Hollywood Racks RoadRunner part # HR410 which would work well.
If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Kuat Bike Frame Adapter Bar # UB01 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.
