Can a Single Stage Propane Regulator Be Used In Place of a Dual Stage

Question:
I have a Coleman stove I want to use the curb side propane hook up for. I have a 2 stage regulator. Can I swap these out and then have the regulator on the stove come into play? I also want to run a buddy heater on the inside this winter. thanks

The MB Sturgis Single Stage Propane Regulator part # 108072 can be used in place of a dual stage regulator so long as the fittings on the end of the leader hose are the same which they should be. I am not sure what you mean by, "Can I swap these out and then have the regulator on the stove come into play" but you only need to have one regulator running from the propane supply to the accessory assuming it reduces the pressure to the correct water column (W.C.) count and has the correct BTU rating. With that being said the single stage regulator should have no trouble handling a Coleman propane grill or RV water heater.
