I have a,2018 Tacoma i have a,3 inch lock but it fits really tight making it hard to lock. Would this work or is it to long

For your 2018 Toyota Tacoma you said 3 inch lock, which I assume was the inside diameter of the lock. The bit of extra width on the receiver of your Tacoma is what is causing it to be tight and difficult to lock so the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # e98881, which measures 3-5/8", should work perfectly for you.
