Question:
I know this is subjective, but wondering if this would create drone in the cab that would be annoying on longer trips.

The MagnaFlow Turndown Cat-Back exhaust system, part # MF17108, is certainly going to give you a deeper sound and you're going to hear it. It's hard to say how much sound you'll have during highway driving but if you're trying to avoid more noise while driving this isn't like what you want.
Take a look at the video I've linked. If you skip ahead to the 1:22 mark you can hear the sound comparison from the factory exhaust to the MagnaFlow from when we installed it on a 2013 Ram 1500.
