Question:
I guess Im not really sure how to use these foam blocks and pads. They fall off very easily when trying to set kayaks on the rack... Is there a way to secure them in place? In pictures online, I see older foam blocks that appeared to wrap around the base, which I think would probably work much better.

When you are putting your kayak on top of the Foam Kayak Blocks # MPG339, for the Storage Rack # MPG338, it is best to set it down on top of them simultaneously. Since there is a cross pattern on the bottom side of these blocks they shouldn't go anywhere unless you are trying to slide the kayak on top of them.
As far as the Upright Foam Pad # MPG179 goes you may want to try loading your kayak or board first (gently of course) and then placing the block where it makes contact with the storage rack. The weight of the board should keep the foam block in place.
If all else fails you can use some bungee cords to help keep the foam blocks in place.
I have attached some review videos for you to check out as well as a link to our selection of bungee cords for you to filter through.
