Question:
We just bought a Kuat Pivot and clearance is pretty low with the ground. Would it be ok to pair it with a hitch riser?

Expert Reply:
If you're having clearance issues with the Kuat Pivot PV20B your best bet is to use the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver for Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers # D210.
This will give you about 4 extra inches of height from your current receiver and the receiver has a 350 lb tongue weight whereas most adapters will reduce the tongue weight of your hitch by 50 percent. You will need pin and clip # ML1465DAT to keep the mount in your receiver.
