Question:
Hi, Your webpage states that both the 50inch and the 58inch can be fitted to the 2015 Subaru Forester with factory installed raised roof rail. May I ask which one would be a better fit? What are the pros and cons for the 50inch vs. the 58inch one? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
Both the 50-inch # MPG201 and 58-inch # MPG202 versions of Malone's roof racks are confirmed fits on the 2015 Subaru Forester, but in fact their similar 65-inch square bar rack is also confirmed to fit, part # MPG203. These and all other roof racks for your Forester are displayed on the page I linked for you.
All three racks fit the same way and have the same 165-lbs maximum weight capacity so your selection can be based on preference and how large your rooftop cargo items are. I suggest placing a tape measure on your Forester roof to help you visualize where the ends of the bars will be one installed.
Generally it is best to choose a crossbar length such that you have no risk of bumping your head as you move about the car's exterior.
