Question:
I have air bags from my 2016 Silverado 1500. I bought a 2018 Duramax 2500HD and want to change the airbags over. What brackets do I need?

We have had customers want to change out there air bag systems for their new pickup before and when you lay out the pieces individually it is actually much more cost-effective to purchase a whole new kit instead of getting the new brackets and hardware.
For your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 I recommend going with the Extra Heavy Duty Ride-Rite Helper Springs # F2709 from Firestone. These have a 7,500 lb weight capacity and are compatible with an in-bed hitch. Please note that this will not increase your weight capacity, it will only help support up to 7,500 lbs.
If you don't already have an air compressor kit then I also recommend installing one of those as well. We have the Air Command I # F2097 which inflates both air bags to the same psi (single path) as well as the Air Command II # F2219 which allows you to have both air bags at different psi settings (dual path).
I have attached some installation videos for these products that you can check out.
