Trailer Roof Vent Recommendation for Auto Close with Rain
Updated 06/18/2018 | Published 06/15/2018 >
Question:
I need a temperature sensing remote control that will automatically send the vent a signal to open the lid. I have the hand held remotes but event when set on automatic and at a given temperature, if the lid has closed from prior rain, the lid does not reopen. Also if the lid was closed, and the vent is on automatic but for a temperature, the lid doesnt open automatically even when the RV temperature well exceeds the set temperature. Dometic/Attwood/Fantastic Vent have been less than helpful. Your help/advice would be appreciated

We have the MaxxAir roof vent part # MA00-04500K. It has a remote control, thermostat, and rain sensor that will automatically lower the lid when it rains. You'll have to reopen it when the rain stops as the rain sensor is covered by the lid and would not be able to sense dry weather.
