Question:

I have a 2014 Ford Transit Connect wagon, long wheelbase. It does not have any side rails. I would like to install cross bars that I can then attach a basket or box to, or use to strap a canoe on to. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Based on the picture of your 2014 Ford Transit Connect you have a naked roof so for installing a roof rack we have the Thule rack consisting of # TH711400, # TH710601, and # TH186032 which would work great. This rack attaches to the factory fixed mounting points on your vehicle roof that are designed for crossbars.

Then for a cargo basket the Yakima LoadWarrior part # Y07070-74 would be a great option that has plenty of cargo space and will fit the Rhino Rack bars. Then for a canoe carrier we have the Yakima KeelOver part # Y04069 which is a confirmed fit and would work well.
