Replacement Shank Insert Recommendation for Swagman G2 Hitch Bike Rack
Updated 06/07/2018 | Published 06/05/2018 >
Question:
I have a Swagman G2 hitch mounted rack. It looks like I need to replace the threaded metal receiver because the previous owner used the wrong pin and damaged the threads. How does a person remove the old insert?

The correct replacement shank insert for the Swagman G2 S64682 that you referenced having is the part # P313. To remove the old insert the hitch pin will have to be removed from the shank and then you'll be able to reach in with a set of plyers and pull it out. It's a friction fit so it will slide out.
