Will the Universal MightyMounts Part # Y03590 Fit the Yakima LandShark Saddles Part 8004030

Question:

I have been using Yakima Land Shark saddles and old-style round bars to transport my kayak. I now have a different vehicle, so I bought a set of 4 Mighty Mounts to attach the Land Sharks to my factory crossbars. They fit the crossbars OK, but Im guessing I need to buy another set of 4 Mighty Mounts to attach the Land Sharks securely? I remember reading that the Mighty Mounts are compatible, but I dont think it was mentioned that 2 sets were necessary.

The Yakima LandShark Saddles part 8004030 will work with the Universal MightyMounts for Yakima Roof Mounted Accessories part # Y03590. However, as you mentioned you will need a total of eight in order to secure them properly. Each saddle will use two of the clamps for balance. I called my contact at Yakima to confirm this.
