Hi there, I just got a new explorer 2018 and noticed that there is not gap in the rails on the roof. Do you know if the thule aero blade with the rubber band attachment will work? Perhaps there are pieces that can come off of the rails to make a hole? Thanks!

For your 2018 Ford Explorer Thule has confirmed the fit of their Aeroblade roof rack part numbers # TH711420, # TH460R, and # THKIT3151. This rack actually attaches to factory fixed mounting points that are present on the roof of your vehicle. On the insides of the roof rails there are two screws that you'll remove and install the feet of this rack to.
