Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 5.3 liter Engine

Question:

2016 Chev. Silverado, 4x4 5.3 eng. Best transmission cooler for this veh. Have reviewed many but now need professional assistance. I tow a 32 ft TT in w, Ga, and Tenn. mountains long hills. TT weight loaded approx., 9000 lbs. suggestions appreciated. tks.

You will want to go with the biggest transmission cooler you can fit in front of the radiator of your 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500. Your transmission will be put through quite a bit of stress with that heavy of a trailer in the mountains.

For your truck we normally recommend the Derale transmission cooler part # D13504 which is 11" Wide x 12" tall x 7/8" deep and the plate-fin design which is very efficient. This would be a great option that will do a great job keeping your transmission temperatures down.
