Question:
Hello! I am purchasing a 2015 F-550 16 Box Truck. I need a 2 inch receiver hitch and would like for the brake controller to be located in the proper place in the dash as it would be from the factory. Is this possible?

For a 2" trailer hitch receiver on your 2015 Ford F-550 I recommend going with the Curt # C15445. This has a tongue weight rating of 2,550 lbs and a gross trailer weight rating of 17,000 lbs. If the weight capacity of your F-550 is lower than these ratings then you will be limited by the weight ratings of your F-550. Please note that if you have a box truck that sits further out at the rear you may have trouble using the receiver.
If you don't already have a 4-Way Flat connector then you will need the 4-Pole Hardwire Kit # 18252 which is a universal design and is used for the standard trailer light functions. The next step (ever if you already have the 4-Way) is installing the Hopkins # 37185. A no-drill mounting bracket like part # 18136 helps to make this installation a little easier. There should be some wires run to the rear of your F-550 that allow you to tap into the 12V power and brake controller output circuits.
To install a brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195 in the cab you will just need the Plug-In Adapter # 3034-P. I am not sure if the P3 will fit in the same space that an OEM controller will fit, but I am attaching a photo with the dimensions that you can reference.
If the P3 won't fit in the same spot then you may be interested in the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR with Adapter # TM75270. You can install this controller so that the only visible part is the small control knob.
I am linking an installation video of the Prodigy P2 # 90885 on a 2008 Ford F-350 Cab and Chassis that you can reference for the installation.
