Will the yakima spareride rack fit a 2016 unlimited jeep wrangler equiped with a back up camera?

There are both factory and aftermarket backup camera systems available for the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and with many of these the presence of a spare-tire-mount bike carrier like the Yakima SpareRide # Y02599 will at least partially block the camera's usual field of view.

Even if the bike rack does not affect the view too much the loaded bikes will almost surely do so to some degree. There is another way to transport bikes that may interest you.

We offer a front-mount hitch for your Jeep, Draw-Tite # 65069 if you have the standard factory bumper or Curt # C31433 for the Hard Rock Edition. Both install without drilling using included hardware and both of these 2-inch hitches allow you to install a 2-inch hitch bike rack of up to 5-bike capacity.

You can also then use other accessory items such as a hitch-mount cargo carrier like # 63153 or a snowplow like # K2AVAL8219. If you own a trailer a front hitch makes it much easier to maneuver the trailer in and out of tight spaces.
