Is it Necessary to Fully Balance Trailer Tires

Question:
I recently purchased a couple Trailer Tires with wheels. Are those balanced or do I need to take them in to get them balanced? Thanks

First, thank you for your many purchases from us here at etrailer, including the Kenda Karrier tires # AM31994.
Trailer tires that we sell come from the distributor already mounted to the rims. These do NOT get a full dynamic balance the way new vehicles tires do but they don't actually need this. When the tires are mounted to the rims the light spot on the tire is matched to the heavy spot on the wheel. This provides a degree of balancing that is sufficient for trailer tires.
You can certainly have the wheels/tire fully balanced at a tire shop provided they have the equipment to do so. This will provide a slightly smoother ride but it is not essential.
What is very important to trailer tire safety and longevity is ensuring that you ALWAYS keep them inflated to their maximum rated COLD psi pressure as noted on the tire sidewall, observe their rated speed capacity and also their weight rating.
