Can Fan Speed on Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent # VP-543SP be Adjusted Using a Dimmer Switch
Updated 05/16/2018 | Published 05/14/2018 >
Question:
Can i wire these fans up to a 12v dimmer switch to adjust fan speed? I am planning on running 2 in parallel with a dpdt center off switch so i can use as intake or exhaust, but controlling speed would be nice too :

Technically you could control the speed of the fan in the Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent # VP-543SP by adjusting the voltage going to the fan. What is unknown is what the longevity would be on such a set up since the motor was not designed for this application.
