Question:
I am wondering if the Rhino-Rack Universal Load Assist - Crossbar Mount - Side Loading - 132 lbs is compatible with my Jeep Compass 2012. I am also wondering if this is the only thing I would need to order or would I need other parts?

Expert Reply:
The Rhino-Rack Universal Load Assist # RR-RUSL comes with several brackets that will fit Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero, Euro, and Heavy-Duty crossbars; Whispbar Flush, Through, Rail, and HD crossbars; and Thule AeroBlade and square crossbars. If you have one of those systems then you will be good to go.
If you have the factory roof rack crossbars then it is possible that one of the included brackets will fit but I cannot guarantee it and they do not make any other brackets for use with this load assist.
The similar Inno load assist, # INA453, fits most factory roof rack crossbars so it is a better option if you do have the factory roof rack on your 2012 Jeep Compass.
