Question:
I have a 2007 Fleetwood Allegro FRED motorhome with an Allison 2200MH transmission. It appears to have 12AN fittings which means the hose inner diameter is probably .69” or close to it. If I add a transmission cooler and the hose or cooler fittings have a smaller diameter than the 12AN hose, will it interfere with the transmission operation? THANKS!!

Expert Reply:
On the Allison transmissions you would need to go to a larger hose and fittings to avoid any problems when using a transmission cooler such as # D13403. But what I recommend is to use core # D54012 which does have -12AN fittings already. The largest inner diameter hose we have is 1/2 inch such as # D15799 so if you do need larger hose it would need to be obtained locally.
