Is the T1001A Valterra valve 1-1/2inch inside diameter or outside diameter?

Since the Valterra valve part # T1001A is a "spigot to spigot" that means that it's designed to have 1-1/2 pipe fit "over" both sides. That means the outside diameter is 1-1/2 inch. The opposite of spigot is hub. Hubs fit over spigots.
