Question:
I purchased Hopkins #43105 harness for my vehicle but it is not the right one. The plug on it is square, where as the plug on my vehicle is square with rounded corners like #hm40155. Do you have an alternative, or do you think the hm40155 will work?

I do have a solution that will work for your 2005 Honda Element but unfortunately neither the Hopkins # 43105 or their # HM40155 are confirmed fits for your vehicle.
Instead you will need to use a universal option like the Wiring Harness Kit # C59496. This comes with quick splice connectors that allow you to tap into the light functions on your Element. It also includes the wiring needed to run to your battery so that your trailer lights aren't pulling from your vehicle lighting circuits.
