What is the difference in the two box trac racks. I'm thinking of buying a new truck later in the year and want to buy a rack that will fit both my 2011 Ford F350 and a 2018 F350.

The major difference between the racks is what they fit. The TracRac system is customized to particular vehicle styles so that they are easier to install and are a better fit. The TracRac Truck Bed Ladder Rack, Item # TH43003XT-010EX, is a confirmed fit for your 2011 Ford F-350 but will not fit a 2018 Ford F-350. Likewise, The TracRac Truck Bed Ladder Rack, Item # TH43003XT-000EX, is a confirmed fit for your 2018 Ford F-350 but will not fit a 2011 Ford F-350.
Because of the differences in the vehicle styling, There is not a TracRac that will fit both Ford trucks so I suggest waiting until you purchase your new vehicle.
