Can the Thule OutWay Platform Bike Rack be used on a 2001 Ford Escort?

The Thule OutWay Platform-Style 2 Bike Trunk Rack, part # TH65JV, will fit the 2001 Ford Escort. It has a weight capacity of 35 lbs. per bike. I had the chance to install this rack on a vehicle at a sales presentation and it is very easy to install and remove. It is also very adjustable for carrying different styles of bikes on the rack. I am including a link to a video review on the Thule bike rack.
If you are going to be carrying women's or children's bikes that do not have the horizontal bar at the top of the frame, you might want to use the Thule Bike Adapter Bar, part # TH982XT. It attaches to the center seat post and to the handlebar post and provides a horizontal bar for the bike frame clamps to attach to. I am including a link to a video review on the Thule adapter bar.
