In order to choose the correct ball mount for your 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and 19’ Airstream Flying Cloud, you will need to do a bit of measuring. For this, you will need to measure from the ground to the top of the inside edge on your receiver tube opening and from the ground to the bottom of the coupler on your trailer while level. The difference between the above two measurements will give you the correct amount of rise/drop you will need to look for in a ball mount.

I have attached a help article that explains the above process further for you in addition to our 2" ball mount selection as well. As long as the rise/drop you need in a ball mount does not exceed 5-1/4" and 6" respectively, I recommend using the Curt Adjustable Ball Mount part # C45900 which comes with 2 different hitch balls for use on different trailers and tow vehicles.

I would agree with the dealer that a proportional brake controller would be best for you. However, I would suggest taking a look at the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90885 first. This controller is equally as easy to use. The best part about the controller is that it has integrated safeguard to protect both the controller and vehicle in the event of an error. It also has an easy to read LCD display, storable boost settings, and comes with a lifetime warranty. I truly believe the extra cost is well worth the added benefits.This controller is hands down our best seller. Just take a look at some of the revews. Since you have the factory tow package, all you will need to install the controller is the plug-in adapter harness like part # TK93VR.
