Question:
What are the dangers of flipping your axles over? Currently my axles rest on top of my leaf springs. Id like to replace my current solid equalizer with the K71-652-00, but the K71-652-00 is slightly shorter than my current one which will lower my camper height by an inch or so. So to relieve the height issue, Id like to flip my axles so they are under my leaf springs....I understand Id have to unbolt my brakes and flip them so they are still sitting upright.

Since axles have a slight bow to them you can't just flip them and reinstall them under the springs using the same spring seats. You have to install new spring seats on the opposite side of the axle so that it can be moved below the spring. Otherwise your wheel camber will be way off and your trailer will ride terrible. We have kits available for this.
The diameter of your trailer axle will determine the size of the parts that you will need to order. If your axle is 3 inches diameter, the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit, # K71-385-00, would be a great choice and if your axle is 2-3/8 inch diameter you could use the Over-Under Kit, # K71-384-00. These kits can be installed without welding but the manufacturer strongly recommends having the new spring seat tacked in place on the other side of the trailer axle.
The center of gravity on your trailer would raise slightly but that's not normally an issue.
