I am looking for a autoslide hitch to go in my 2012 f150 with a 5.5 ft box what do you recomend

Fifth wheel trailer towing with an F-150 that has a 5-1/2 foot bed is tough. From our experience nothing gives you enough travel to make a complete 90 degree turn without contact between the trailer and truck cab. There are exceptions based on how the front of the trailer is designed, and there are some that get close but most can't do it. Even using a Sidewinder with a fixed hitch doesn't always give you enough clearance, however it is the best option.

With that being said the autosliding hitch we carry is the Demco Hijacker, part # DM8550022. For your truck use the underbed install kit, part # DM8551001, so you have a clear truck bed without the hitch.

The Hijacker will work in your truck. However, like I said you want to be careful to avoid contact between truck and trailer. I recommend testing your limitations carefully ahead of time so you know what you can and can't do before you're stuck in a situation.
