Will these fit the regular Thule load bars like the LB58 or are they specific to the goal post?

Yes, The Replacement Load Bar Endcap for Thule or Hullavator, Item # 853-2297, will work for your regular Thule Square Load Bars since the Thule Goalpost TH997 came with a Thule square crossbar.
As much as possible, Thule uses common parts and common sizes so that it is easier to find replacement parts for their products.
